Section 6:
The Forum is just one of the fun additions to the game. You don’t need to use the forum to win, but it can be very useful. The forum can be read by any players in the game. You can use it to do anything from brag about your victories to ask for help to reporting bugs or giving suggestions. The forum brings a lot of the community aspect of the game together, because it’s your chance to converse with all the other players. Off-topic posts are allowed as long as they don’t get too extensive or too frequent, at which time I will ask for you to stop, and after that will delete posts. Please keep posts appropriate as well, swearing is okay when used tastefully (“Dammit who put that minefield there!” and not “You mother f***in son of a b*tch why don’t you go f*** your mom!”), and in general use your best discretion. Remember that potentially young children (under 13) may be reading the forum.
Messages
The in-game messaging system will probably be the way you’ll communicate the most with other players. Messages are private. You can send messages in a few ways. Once is by examining a player, a link to send a message will be there. Another is by clicking Reply by a forum post (which will send a message, not a forum reply). You can send a message to an entire clan by clicking on the link next to a clan, or when you are already in a clan by clicking the clan’s name. Don’t spam people, and if you are spammed, please report the spammer. You can say whatever you want in a message, as long as the reciever is not offended. On the right bar you will be able to see how many messages you have. The first number is how many new messages you have, and will appear red if it is not 0. The second number is the total number of messages.
Bugs/Updates
The bugs/updates page is the ONLY way you’ll get me to do ANYTHING. J I need organization like that or I just won’t get stuff done. From time to time I add my own stuff there, but most of it is posted by other people. Read the bugs/updates FAQ, its linked from the bugs/updates page. Please read that before you post a bug/update! Also, you might want to start a discussion in the forum if you have a radical idea. Otherwise I’ll probably just delete your submission. J
