Quest for Yap Original Game Help
Section 17:
Planet Types
In the Original game, the
planets you encounter will have different types. You cannot find out type of
planet until you have claimed it.
Standard Planet
- That’s right, nothing special.
Same as all the planets were before different planet types were
added to the game. All other types
are based on the standard planet.
- Mines Output: 20 iron,
16 coal, 8 silicon, 8 uranium, 4 gold
Industrial
Planet
- Advanced industrial equipment doubles output of
industrial buildings on the planet.
These buildings require the same amount of colonists as normal, but
twice as much raw materials. (example:
normal foundry makes 20 steel from 20 iron and 10 coal…foundry on
industrial planet makes 40 steel from 40 iron and 20 coal)
- Mines Output:
28 iron, 20 coal, 6 silicon, 6 uranium, 3 gold
Fortress
Planet
- The strategic nature of the terrain of this planet
allows it to be fortified extensively.
Shields generate at 15%, and both shield and drone caps add 120 to
the maximum, instead of 100.
- Mines Output:
16 iron, 14 coal, 8 silicon, 8 uranium, 4 gold
El
Dorado Planet
- This planet holds nearly unlimited riches. Colonists are greedy, though, and not
stupid. They know how much gold you
are making on the planet, so they will not tolerate you taxing them as
well. Colonists will start to
leave the planet if you set the tax rate above 5%.
- Mines Output:
12 iron, 16 coal, 4 silicon, 4 uranium, 120 gold
Mining
Planet
- This planet is extremely difficult to live in, but
beneath the parched crust lie many resources to be exploited. Colonists on this planet will not raise
their population by themselves, even if you tax them at 0%. You will need to bring in your own
colonists.
- Mines Output:
60 iron, 40 coal, 30 silicon, 30 uranium, 18 gold
Pleasure
Planet
- The land is very pleasurable to your colonists,
and colonist growth rate is 5% more than usual.
- Mines Output:
10 iron, 8 coal, 4 silicon, 2 uranium, 2 gold
